Melissa Reiff is Chairwoman, Chief Executive Officer and President for The Container Store, the nation’s leading retailer of storage and organization products and Custom Closets solutions. Melissa has served in numerous key leadership positions during her 25 years with the company, accepting the role of Chief Executive Officer in July of 2016 and assuming the roles of Chairwoman of the Board and President in August of 2019.

As CEO, Melissa has spearheaded The Container Store’s five-year strategic plan, that includes goals-driven restructuring initiatives, and the implementation of key efficiency and priority programs across the company. The Container Store has earned recognition as one of Fortune Magazine’s “Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in America for 19 years.”

Melissa is one of the founding member CEOs of The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Board Advisory Council, which proactively addresses the critical need for inclusive leadership. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors of Etsy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ETSY); and on the Executive Board of her alma mater, Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
